A free add-on that lets your whole team build UTM links by one shared convention inside Google Sheets. Pick a channel and the link is built to your rules; bad values are stopped before they reach the log.
This button becomes active once the review passes.
Registration is under Google Workspace Marketplace review and will be public soon. Once it passes, the install button above will link to the marketplace.
Pick a channel and source/medium fill in by your rules. Values that break the lowercase, forbidden-character, or three-token campaign rules are blocked with a reason, not silently changed.
Enter many rows in the grid and generate them all at once. Combinations that duplicate ones you already built are caught before they are created.
Generated links appear in a result modal and are written to a log tab automatically, so you can track and audit who built what and when.
On first open, the onboarding modal creates the tabs you need in one click. No setup, you start right away.
Google and Facebook treat values as case-sensitive. When one person writes Naver, another naver, and another NAVER for the same campaign, the report splits into three rows and the totals no longer add up. If source and medium spellings differ per person, you cannot compare channel performance.
The fix is not to make people memorize the rules, but to let the tool enforce them. UTM Builder normalizes spelling the moment you pick a channel and blocks off-convention values before they are built, so your data is clean and comparable from the start.
Add UTM Builder from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
In your sheet, choose Extensions > UTM Builder > open the sidebar.
In the onboarding modal, press Install now and the required tabs are created.
In the UTM_Grid tab, enter your channel and campaign, content, and term values.
Values are validated against the convention, then the links are built.
Review the generated links in the result modal and see the history in the log tab.
UTM Builder uses only the spreadsheets.currentonly scope. It touches only the single sheet you have open and cannot see or open any other file in your Drive. It requests the minimum access it needs.
All of it stays inside your own sheet. The tabs the add-on creates (channel rules, log, settings, audit, input grid) live in the spreadsheet under your Google account and are never sent to the developer's servers or any third party.
Yes. UTM Builder is free to use, with no usage caps or paid tiers.
Share one central sheet with the team and have everyone build links in it. Each row records the author's email, so attribution is preserved.
It ships with presets for major channels such as Naver, Google, Meta, and Kakao, and you can add or edit channels and their source/medium mapping to match your team's rules.
It is currently under Google Workspace Marketplace review. Once it passes, the install button on this page will become active. To try it early, contact hello@mcpy.kr.
